Artist Trung Dan surprised everyone when he played a special role in the movie 'Southern Forest Land'
Having played the role of Ut Luc Lam in the very successful TV version, artist Trung Dan now recreates this role in the movie version of "Dat Rung Phuong Nam".
The movie "Southern Forest Land" revealed key characters such as baby An, Ut Luc Lam, Mr. Tieu and his son, and snake catcher Ba.
However, on the afternoon of September 12, the film crew suddenly revealed that artist Trung Dan will participate in this film project.
Previously, the film crew assigned the role of Ut Luc Lam to actor Tuan Tran. Therefore, many viewers wondered what role the veteran male artist would play in the film?
According to the film crew, artist Trung Dan will participate in the role of the pawn shop owner with actress Tuyen Map as Aunt Tu U.
Having played the cunning and slippery Ut Luc Lam in the TV version that impressed the public before, so when participating in the movie version, no matter what role he plays, artist Trung Dan still receives sympathy from the audience.
Artist Trung Dan plays the pawn shop owner Ba Sang. Accordingly, the audience predicts that a petty thief like Tuan Tran’s Ut Luc Lam will encounter Mr. Ba Sang many times, creating humorous situations in the film.
Another name that was awaited was Aunt Tu U - the owner of the bar who had taken An in for a while. Aunt Tu U was a typical Southern woman, enthusiastic and generous. No one came to Aunt Tu's riverside bar and left hungry, and even though An was just a helpless little boy, she still loved and cared for him without thinking of any benefits.
Aunt Tu U in the movie "Dat Rung Phuong Nam" is played by actress Tuyen Map. She shared: "As soon as I looked at the scene, I told myself that I was Mrs. Tu U in 1920. This is the first time I have been so "happy" while acting in a movie."
Director Nguyen Quang Dung shared that An's adventure in "Southern Forest Land" is a journey of maturity as the boy overcomes challenges, meets and connects with many different people, and from there, the story of the generous and affectionate Southern land is vividly and colorfully recreated.
