On September 8, District 11 Police, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with professional units of the Investigation Police Department (PC45 - Ho Chi Minh City Police) to conduct a crime scene investigation into the fire that occurred on the night of September 7 at 161 Han Hai Nguyen, Ward 2, District 11, which caused a woman to suffer life-threatening burns.

According to initial information, at around 10:30 p.m. on September 7, many residents living on Han Hai Nguyen Street were shocked when they discovered a fire breaking out at house number 161, so they shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

At this time, in the fire, a woman whose whole body was covered in flames ran screaming from the room, intending to jump to the house next door, but was advised by everyone to jump down from the mobile roof and fall to the ground. People immediately put out the fire for the victim and transferred the victim to Cho Ray Hospital in critical condition. The victim's identity was identified as Ha Gia Hue (21 years old, living in District 11, working as a hairdresser).

With the risk of the fire continuing to grow and spread to neighboring houses, the Fire Police Department of District 11 mobilized 7 fire trucks and 44 officers to the scene to put out the fire. After 30 minutes, the fire was completely controlled. The first floor of the house burned about 35 square meters along with many properties inside.

District 11 Police, PC45 Department, District 11 Procuracy... have conducted a crime scene investigation and taken witness statements to clarify the incident.

It is known that the ground floor of the house at 161 Han Hai Nguyen sells breakfast in the morning, opens a drinking place in the afternoon, and the first floor is divided into rooms for rent. Hue has lived with a fake husband named Ha Vu Tai (31 years old, works as a car decal sticker) for over a year now, the room next door is another couple with a small child. Since moving in here, Hue and Tai have often had conflicts, arguments, and fights.

On the first floor, all the property inside was burned down, the smell of gasoline was still strong. Some witnesses said that when Ms. Hue was burned and jumped off the porch and fell to the ground, Ms. Hue was still conscious and said that Tai poured gasoline on her and set her on fire.

Ms. Dang Thi An (66 years old, living next to the burnt house) said that before the fire broke out, she saw Hue and Tam arguing fiercely, Tai threatened to use gasoline to burn Hue, so the couple in the next room carried their child and escaped. Only a moment later, people heard cries for help and the fire broke out. At the time of the fire, Tai had left the scene.
