72-year-old husband suspected of murdering his wife and then hanging himself
A 72-year-old couple was found dead in their home. The wife had multiple stab wounds and the husband had hanged himself in the bathroom.
Dong Nai Province Police said they are coordinating with other authorities to investigate the case of an elderly couple who died in their home with many unusual signs.
The victims were Mr. Nguyen Tat Thang and his wife, Mrs. Le Thi Thu (both 72 years old, residing in Trang Dai ward, Bien Hoa city).
Initial information, last night (September 21), relatives of the victims came home from work to find the house closed, and no one answered their calls.
Suspecting something unusual, this person climbed into the house. When he entered, he discovered Mr. Thang dead in a lying position.hangedIn the bathroom, Mrs. Thu was lying dead on the kitchen floor, with many cuts on her head and face.
Authorities then examined the scene and investigated the cause of the incident.
During the examination, the police discovered a bloody hammer and a knife about 25 cm long next to the victim Thu's body. Initial conclusions were that the husband may have murdered his wife and then committed suicide.
The case is currently under further investigation by the police.
