Father suspected of using crystal meth, using machete to kill two-year-old daughter
(Baonghean.vn) - According to local authorities, before using a machete to kill his daughter and seriously injure his wife, Hung used crystal meth.
On March 8, Mr. Luong Van Ngam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Keng Du commune, Ky Son district, said that the reason Luong Van Hung (28 years old), residing in Huoi Xui village, Keng Du commune, killed his child, slashed his wife, then closed the door and committed suicide was due to using pink heroin and crystal meth, causing "hallucinations".

Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 10:35 p.m. on March 7, Luong Van Hung (also known as Luong Pho Not), 28 years old, residing in Huoi Xui village, Keng Du commune, used a machete to kill his biological child, Luong Thi Loi (2 years old), and seriously injured his wife, Hoc Thi Thoong (32 years old).
While being slashed by her husband, Ms. Thoong was lucky to escape and was taken to the hospital by the villagers with multiple injuries.
Upon receiving the news, local authorities, Keng Du Commune Police and Keng Du Border Guard Station promptly arrived at the scene to persuade the subject to drop the knife and not act rashly.
However, Hung locked the door and barricaded himself in the bedroom, then slashed himself in the head, causing injury.
At 1:00 a.m. on March 8, Luong Van Hung opened the door to surrender and was taken by authorities to the Ky Son District Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Doctor Ho Phu Hai (Ky Son District Medical Center) said that at the time of hospitalization, Luong Van Hung had dozens of cuts on his body and was gradually recovering.
