During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Cua Temple was the secret place of activities of revolutionary soldiers such as comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh and Hoang Van Tam, where weapons were hidden and troops were trained. Together with Con Temple in Quynh Luu and Cuong Temple in Dien Chau, Cua Temple is one of the largest temples in the coastal area of ​​Nghe An.
