Nghi Loc: Woman fined 5 million VND for escaping quarantine to go to the market
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to being involved in a Covid-19 infection case at a wholesale market (Vinh City), Ms. T. was forced to self-isolate at home according to regulations. After 11 days of quarantine, Ms. T. left home to go to the market to sell vegetables and fruits.
On July 14, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district issued a decision to administratively sanction Ms. TTT in Phuc Tho commune (Nghi Loc district) for avoiding the application of measures.medical isolationof the competent State agency.
Previously, on July 5, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghi Thai commune conducted an inspection at the local Lo Voi market and discovered Ms. TTT sitting and selling vegetables and fruits at this market. Through verification, the working group learned that Ms. T. was under medical quarantine at home according to Decision No. 263/QD-UBND dated June 24, 2021 of the People's Committee of Phuc Tho commune due to her involvement in the Covid-19 infection case at the wholesale market (Vinh city). The working group invited Ms. T. to Nghi Thai commune Health Station to make a medical declaration, check her body temperature, and at the same time draw up a record of administrative violations for handling according to regulations.
Ms. TTT's behavior violated Point b, Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP dated September 28, 2020 of the Government on administrative sanctions in the health sector. Applying mitigating circumstances, on July 11, Nghi Loc District People's Committee issued a decision to administratively fine Ms. TTT VND 5 million and at the same time forced Ms. T. to undergo medical isolation according to regulations.
