Nghi Loc: 13 business establishments discovered violating food safety and hygiene

(Baonghean.vn)- On September 28 and 29, the Nghi Loc district interdisciplinary delegation conducted food safety inspections in central areas of the district.

Through inspection of 18 business households in 3 localities (Nghi Xuan, Nghi Trung and Quan Hanh Town), 13 business households were found to have violated state regulations on food safety and hygiene, in which the main errors were not having full administrative procedures as prescribed, not keeping food samples and workers not wearing uniforms and protective gear as prescribed.

In Quan Hanh Town alone, inspection of two bakeries showed that all stages of bread production did not ensure food safety, baking tools were dusty, moldy, and did not ensure food safety and hygiene.

Through inspection activities, along with propaganda and education of knowledge and legal regulations on food safety, raising public awareness in food safety work, the interdisciplinary team has promptly detected, prevented and handled violations of food safety, limited food poisoning and food-borne diseases, contributing to the care and protection of people's health./.
