Nghi Loc: Production of pure L14 peanut variety reaches 1.7 tons/ha
(Baonghean.vn) - The project to produce pure L14 peanut varieties in Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc has a yield of about 1.7 tons/ha, increasing income by 7 million VND/ha compared to self-propagated local peanut varieties.
Nghi Loc is the district with the largest peanut growing area in the province, with an area of 3,400 hectares, but in recent years the source of high-quality peanut seeds has not been enough to produce the spring crop. Therefore, in the autumn-winter crop of 2017, with the sponsorship of the KOPIA Vietnam Center, the North Central Agricultural Science and Technology Institute chose Nghi Long commune as the site for the L14 peanut seed production project.
