Nghi Loc successfully mobilized resources to clear land for road D4.
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 3rd, the Nghi Loc District Land Compensation and Resettlement Council and the Nghi Thiet Commune People's Committee successfully persuaded four households in Dong Hamlet, Nghi Thiet Commune, to hand over their land for the construction of the D4 road through the Southeast Economic Zone.
This is the result of a year of active campaigning and persuasion by the Nghi Loc district and Nghi Thiet commune authorities with a number of households located within the area designated for the construction of the provincial D4 road. It is known that the D4 road has 2.1 km running through Nghi Thiet commune. Of this, the last 500m section affects 149 households in Dong and Moi hamlets of the locality.

During the land compensation and clearance process, several issues arose. Through persistent efforts, by June 2015, 145 households had signed over their land. Only four households in Dong hamlet remained unwilling to accept compensation and hand over their land. The district's land clearance council and the working group of the Nghi Thiet commune People's Committee held numerous meetings with these households to explain the compensation scheme according to state regulations. With the active and decisive involvement of the district and commune working groups, by 8 PM that same day, the last three households agreed to accept the compensation and hand over their land to the state. On the morning of September 4th, the D4 road construction unit deployed its workforce to begin construction as planned.
