HIV-infected suspect injures 5 police officers
During the pursuit of the suspect, all 5 police officers suffered scratches on their arms and legs, and were covered in Tai's blood - an HIV-infected man.
On January 9, My Tho City Police, Tien Giang Province announced that they had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Nguyen Hong Tai (31 years old, residing in Ward 4, My Tho City) for 2 months to investigate the crime of "theft of property".

On the morning of December 10, 2019, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tram (51 years old, residing in Tan My Chanh commune, My Tho city, Tien Giang province) was at home when Nguyen Hong Tai broke into the house, ransacked and stole 3 cell phones and some other items.
When Mrs. Tram discovered, Tai threatened her with a knife and escaped. He continued to steal a Honda motorbike that was parked on the side of the road.
Through investigation and screening of suspects, on December 14, 2019, Nguyen Hong Tai was discovered and arrested by criminal detectives of My Tho City Police.
Tai ran away and fell, injuring his head. He then scratched the wound until it bled and threatened that he was infected with HIV. During the chase, all 5 officers of the Criminal Police Team suffered scratches on their arms and legs, all of which were covered in Tai's blood. The police then conducted a quick test on the suspect and discovered that Tai was infected with HIV.
The incident forced all 5 police officers to take exposure medication and continue to monitor their health./.
