Suspect in strangling wife to death in Nghe An confessed to using crystal meth
(Baonghean.vn) - At the investigation agency, the suspect who strangled his wife to death initially stated that two days before the incident, he used crystal meth and felt like someone wanted to kill him.
On February 18, suspect Mong Van Hoa (born in 1989, residing in Na Nhang village, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong), who was accused of killing his wife, recovered his health.

The case has now been transferred to the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police for handling according to its authority. According to the leader of the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police, the suspect is being detained at the Provincial Police Detention Center to continue verifying and clarifying the act of Murder.
"Hoa's blood sample has been sent for examination to determine whether the murder was related to drug use as initially stated by the suspect," said the leader of the Criminal Police Department.
Specifically, at the initial investigation agency, Hoa confessed that on February 11, he used crystal meth. Around noon on February 13, while at home with his wife, thinking that someone wanted to kill him, Hoa rushed over and strangled his wife, then pulled out a knife and cut his own neck with the intention of committing suicide.
Mr. Vo Khanh Toan - Chairman of Tien Phong Commune People's Committee said that Mong Van Hoa has no criminal record. The commune authorities have not discovered that Hoa uses or is addicted to drugs.
Before that, the brother-in-law went to Hoa's house but found the door locked. Thinking something was wrong, everyone broke the door and rushed inside. They saw the floor covered in blood, Hoa was hugging his dead wife, Mong Thi H., tightly. Blood was still flowing from Hoa's neck.
It is known that Hoa and his wife have two children, aged 7 and 4. At the time of the incident, both children were playing at their grandmother's house.
