Duma MP from Crimea: “Ukrainians will always be brothers of the Russian people”
For the Russian people, the Ukrainian people are the closest in spirit, thinking and history. Therefore, they were, are and will always be brothers of the Russian Federation regardless of the political regime, said Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Batkivshchyna party, Ivan Krulko, told NewsOne TV channel that Ukrainians "will become brothers again" with Russians only if they agree to become vassals of Moscow.
According to him, the positions of Kiev and Moscow are not the same. The MP expressed the opinion that Russia seems to be trying to "restore the empire".
"Ukrainians were, are and will always be our brothers. This is the people closest to us in spirit, thinking and history. Therefore, we have never been separated from them. I am absolutely sure of this and have no doubts," - Mr. Sheremet said.
