According to the MP, this happened because the Ukrainian leader could not "put pressure" in the Rada to impose martial law for two months in connection with the incident in the Kerch Strait to postpone the presidential election.
"There is nothing more dangerous than cornered rats. This is exactly the situation with the Ukrainian president, he needs to somehow get out of this without political losses," Murayev said.
He also stressed that Mr Poroshenko has repeatedly expressed his desire to "fight for power to the end" despite the fact that this creates new risks that threaten the country.
On November 25, 2018, three Ukrainian Navy vessels allegedly violated the Russian state border and ignored the requests of Russian border guards. As a result, 24 Ukrainian sailors were detained.
Kiev considered this an act of aggression and declared martial law in several regions of Ukraine.
Moscow considers the incident a provocation by President Poroshenko ahead of the election.
