Nghi Thuy - Cua Lo: Providing assistance to fishermen in distress.

(Baonghean.vn) - At 5:00 AM on March 31, 2014, while fishing about 2-3 nautical miles from the mainland, the vessel NA-09103-TS, owned by Mr. Trinh Xuan Quang from Block 9, Nghi Thuy Ward, Cua Lo Town, unfortunately tilted and sank at sea.

After being brought ashore by other vessels, under the direction of the local authorities and with the assistance of the Cua Lo Port Loading and Unloading Enterprise, the fishing vessel NA-09103-TS was successfully salvaged on April 1, 2014.

Mr. Duong Ngoc Xo, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Thuy Ward, Cua Lo District, presented 30 million VND to the shipwrecked crew.

To encourage and support fishing vessels and fishermen in distress at sea, on April 8, 2014, the People's Committee, the Farmers' Association, and fishing vessel owners in Nghi Thuy ward promptly mobilized and donated 30 million VND to support and help the NA-09103-TS vessel quickly stabilize and resume fishing operations.
