Nghia Dan: Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 10, the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Nghia Dan district held its 2nd Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Attending were representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Association and members in the district.

New Executive Committee introduced to the congress

The District Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims was established in 2009. Up to now, there are 1,719 people receiving regular allowances, with 13 grassroots organizations. In recent years, the basic subjects have been examined, health assessed, and cared for on holidays and Tet. Training courses have been opened for association officials and policy officers with more than 200 people. In particular, the Victim Fund has been built in many organizations with each branch having from 10 to 15 million VND, supporting members in daily life, building houses, visiting when sick, with over 500 practical gifts. In the coming term, the District Association will work with grassroots organizations to implement and build, make good use of the Fund, take care of the lives of members and their children, and build bridges with humanitarian bridges.

At the congress, a new Executive Committee of 18 comrades was elected.
