Nghia Dan: Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 10th, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Nghia Dan district held its 2nd Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Attending the event were representatives from the Nghe An Provincial Association and members from across the district.

The District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin was established in 2009. To date, 1719 people receive regular allowances, and there are 13 grassroots organizations. Over the years, the beneficiaries have received basic health check-ups and assessments, and attention during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). Training courses have been organized for over 200 association officials and policy officers. Notably, a Victims' Fund has been established in many organizations, with each branch having between 10 and 15 million VND, supporting members in daily life, house construction, and visits during illness, with over 500 practical gifts. In the next term, the District Association will work with grassroots organizations to implement and effectively utilize the Fund, care for the lives of members and their children, and build bridges of compassion.
At the congress, a new Executive Committee consisting of 18 members was elected.
