Raising earthworms also takes advantage of local sources of livestock manure, organic waste, and straw, resulting in low feed costs. During the rearing process, farmers followed the correct technical procedures, and the worms developed well; after 50 days, they can be harvested for breeding or used as animal feed.
Earthworm farming can utilize space in home gardens, abandoned old barns, etc.; they are highly resistant to local climatic conditions. Currently, earthworm biomass sells for 20,000 - 25,000 VND/kg; with 100m² of farming area, the monthly income is approximately 5 - 6 million VND.
