Playing with a gun, 9-year-old brother shot his 6-year-old brother in the neck
The two brothers were playing with a gun with bullets left in front of the house by their father who had come home from hunting.
Children's Hospital 2 (HCMC) said it had just treated a 6-year-old boy named NMH (living in Dak Lak province) who was shot from the neck to the chest.
Previously, on October 29, baby MH was transferred from Dak Lak to the Emergency Department of Children's Hospital 2 with a neck injury.

Through examination and X-ray, doctors discovered a bullet that went from MH's neck down to his chest. Luckily, the bullet went from the neck to the top of the left lung but did not penetrate a major blood vessel, trachea or heart.
After consultation, the doctors concluded that open surgery from the neck area would be very difficult because there are many blood vessels and nerves in this area and the incision would be very bad. The surgical team decided to perform endoscopic thoracic surgery to remove the bullet. After surgery, MH's health gradually stabilized and he was discharged from the hospital.
MH’s family said that after returning from hunting, NTH (38 years old, the child’s father) carelessly left a gun with bullets in front of the house. At that time, MH and his 9-year-old brother came to play with the gun. While playing, MH was shot through the neck by his brother.
