Ngo Thanh Van becomes an assassin in Tet movie

In director Ham Tran's work, the actress has a tug-of-war with singer Suboi's character.

Ngo Thanh Van makes a cameo appearance in the film Super Thief. The "action girl" plays an assassin named Ky, who wears all black and is the right-hand man of a notorious foreign boss.

During a crime and escape, Ngo Thanh Van’s character encounters hacker Vi (Suboi) in a phone store. They struggle and fight. The assassin character quickly gains the upper hand, using his knees and even his gun to beat the hacker until he is bruised.

On set, Ngo Thanh Van and Suboi practiced many moves to act in harmony. Ngo Thanh Van held a fake gun to Suboi's head for hours to fully film the dramatic scene.

Super Thief is a crime thriller film shown during Tet holiday by director Ham Tran. The film tells the story of a special agent (Nhung Kate) mobilizing a group of hackers and super thieves to capture an international criminal. In the film, the villain is assigned to Korean actor - Tea Yoo. Ngo Thanh Van plays Tea Yoo's assistant.

The cast playing the hackers and super thieves includes Suboi, Thanh Pham, Petey Nguyen, Thanh My, and Mai The Hiep.

The film is scheduled to be released on February 4.
