Marko Simic came to Vietnam in the 2015 season playing for B.Binh Duong. However, after 30 matches from V.League, National Cup to AFC Champions League, Simic's contributions did not meet expectations and he had to leave B.Binh Duong.

Despite his failure in Vietnam, Simic revived his form in Malaysia and Indonesia. He scored 16 goals in 22 matches for the Malaysian clubs Negeri Sembilan and Melaka United. Then, Simic moved to Persija (Indonesia) and scored 11 goals to help the team win the Presidential Cup. In the final, this striker also scored a double to help his team defeat Bali United with a final score of 3-0.

Simic was named the tournament's top scorer, 6 goals ahead of second-placed Stefano Lilipaly. The 30-year-old striker's impressive form has also made Persija fans in particular and Indonesia fans hope he will become a naturalized player to play for the Indonesian national team in the future.

After U23, Vietnam U16 players are very determined in the Asian tournament.

Head coach Dinh The Nam said that the miracle of the Vietnam U23 team at the recent U23 Asian tournament has brought a very positive effect to this training session of the Vietnam U16 team. All the players are excited and determined to prepare for the 2018 U16 Asian Cup finals which will take place in September in Indonesia.

The time to prepare for this tournament is still quite long, but from this moment, the Vietnam U16 team has started working and kicked off with the 2018 Japan-Asean U16 International Football Tournament. This is a tournament that is highly appreciated by head coach Dinh The Nam because it not only gathers all the U16 teams of the Southeast Asian region but also has the participation of the two host teams, U15 Japan and Miyazaki.

“For young players, competing internationally with many different opponents is very useful. This will help them mature and become more confident when entering official tournaments,” said coach Dinh The Nam.

FLC Thanh Hoa aims to win on Myanmar soil

Tomorrow (February 27), FLC Thanh Hoa Club will have the second match in Group G within the framework of AFC Cup 2018 against Yangon United Club (Myanmar). To prepare for this important encounter, coach Marian Mihail and his team left for Myanmar on the afternoon of January 25.

Before the Lunar New Year holiday, coach Marian Mihail and his team won against their Philippine opponent Global Cebu in the first match at My Dinh Stadium. This victory gave the Thanh team a great motivation before the second match.

At present, FLC Thanh Hoa is temporarily ranked 2nd on the rankings and has 3 points with the top team Yangon United but loses on goal difference. A complete victory against the representative from Myanmar will certainly help FLC Thanh Hoa get a ticket to the knockout round.
