British Foreign Secretary unexpectedly criticizes Putin for making the "world dangerous"
Speaking at the Washington Institute of Peace, British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt criticized President Putin's foreign policy for making the world more dangerous.

"Of course we must engage in dialogue with Moscow, but we must also make clear that President Putin's Russian foreign policy has made our world a more dangerous place," the British foreign minister said.
"And today the UK is asking its allies to go even further. We call on the European Union to ensure that the sanctions against Russia are comprehensive and that we truly act alongside the US," Mr Hunt stressed.
Hunt’s speech will be part of his first visit to the US as secretary of state. His schedule includes meetings with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, other senior administration officials and congressional leaders.
During the meeting, the two sides will discuss a range of international issues, including Iran, North Korea, Syria, Yemen, and Middle East settlements.
Mr Hunt will then travel to New York to address the UN Security Council. He will also meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and discuss a number of humanitarian issues and reform of the organisation.
