Germany's top diplomat has called on Russia to show a more constructive stance in resolving the situation in Syria.
"Russia has become a more complicated partner, but one needs to continue dialogue with Moscow. I expected a more constructive approach from Russia. Russia may not hide all of President Asad's actions," he said.
The German Foreign Minister also noted that Moscow's participation in resolving the situation in Syria is necessary.
Mr. Mass reminded that the US, France and Britain attacked Syria because Moscow had vetoed 12 draft resolutions on this Arab republic at the United Nations Security Council.
According to the German Foreign Minister, the military operations of Washington and its allies have made all sides understand the need to start a political settlement process, and "the situation in Syria has not worsened after the intervention of Western countries".
