Iran's Foreign Minister: The US cannot contribute to resolving the Syrian conflict
(Baonghean.vn) - Iran's Tasnim news agency reported on July 18 that the country's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif believes that with the current situation in Syria, the US is only capable of supporting terrorists.

“We have good communication and cooperation with Russia and the Syrian government, and we will continue to do so. Our goal and the Russian Federation’s goal is clear, which is to fight terrorism and extremism,” Mr. Zarif said.
"If US President Trump wants to take credit, he should take credit for supporting the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS), which the US and its allies have been doing all along," Zarif added, commenting on the Russia-US summit in Helsinki, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump discussed the conflict in Syria.
“The fact that US weapons were found in the hands of IS and other extremist organizations has been stated in Western sources. So I think we should look at the reality, that those who are fighting terrorism are none other than the Syrian people and those who cooperate with the Syrian people,” the top Iranian diplomat pointed out.
