Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Mr. Zelensky loudly asked countries to support the peace formula
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that during a meeting with foreign ambassadors in Kiev, Mr. Volodymyr Zelenksy loudly asked for support for the peace formula promoted by Kiev.

According to RIA Novosti, speaking at a press conference after a meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization ministers in Kazakhstan on May 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that when discussing the "peace conference" in Switzerland with foreign ambassadors in the capital Kiev, Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky loudly asked for support for his peace formula.
"In late April, when discussing the idea of a peace conference in Switzerland with foreign ambassadors in Kiev, according to some participants, Mr. Zelensky spent most of the time improvising chaotically, in a high-pitched tone, asking for support for his peace formula as a means of forcing Russia to surrender," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
The Russian diplomat also said that a person who cannot control himself will "often start telling the truth". Mr. Lavrov also pointed out that Moscow has the opportunity to receive information "that is usually not published or disclosed".
The peace formula pushed by Ukraine demands that Russia return to its 1991 borders, provide Euro-Atlantic security guarantees, and establish a special court to investigate “war crimes” committed by Russia. For Moscow, this is a formula far removed from reality.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed that Mr. Zelensky's peace formula is a strict requirement for the negotiation process. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov called this initiative an ultimatum to Moscow and a "road to nowhere."
Switzerland will host a peace conference on Ukraine on June 15-16 in the city of Lucerne. Representatives of about 160 countries have been invited to attend, excluding Russia./.
