According to him, Russia-US relations "are at their most toxic at this time."
The Russian Foreign Minister said that in relations with partners it has become a rule for the United States that "when something goes wrong", they immediately announce mandatory measures of influence.
“I don't think they can believe in the long-term success of such a policy,” Lavrov said.
The Russian foreign minister expressed hope that the US would understand that it is now necessary to work together against threats such as terrorism, "instead of trying to fight each other in one situation or another, or using extreme threats to achieve some immediate goals, like the problems that are happening in Syria."
Yesterday, the 4th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) officially opened in Vladivostok. The forum was held on the campus of Far Eastern State University on Russki Island from September 11-13.
The international news agency "Rossiya segodnya" acted as the information partner of the event.
