Earlier, Mr. Zelensky suggested that President Putin meet in Minsk with the participation of foreign leaders and discuss the issue: "Whose Crimea is, and who is not in Donbass.
Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov promised that the Ukrainian president's initiative would be considered.
"I would definitely support this meeting together with our friends and partners. We need to rely on them. Sometimes it is not easy to talk to them, but we really need this story. We will need to determine the format of the meeting - Normandy, the United States, combined, the EU... But I would definitely advise Mr. Zelensky to meet with Mr. Putin together with our friends and partners," Klimkin said in a broadcast on the "Obshestvennoye" television channel on Wednesday.
