In his unilateral opinion, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that Russia had turned Crimea into a giant military base. "We suspect that there may be nuclear weapons there, or at least infrastructure for nuclear weapons," said Pavel Klimkin.
Mr. Klimkin added that Russia has been supplying weapons and military equipment to Syria from Crimea.
He also said that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry plans to draft a special UN resolution on the "militarization of Crimea".
"There is such an idea to find a separate solution regarding the militarization of occupied Crimea," the Ukrainian minister said.
