Ngoc Trinh spent 3 billion to make a short film just to post online
After the noisy release of '56cm Waist' in theaters, this time Ngoc Trinh spent 3 billion to make a short film in which she plays the main role but only released it online.
The action short film, which Ngoc Trinh invested in herself, was released on social media with a length of 26 minutes. After the film had passed 2/3 of its duration, it changed to a music video.

Ngoc Trinh tried hard to practice for the role but really did not fit the image of a female fighter. |
The film is set in the underground world of illegal investors, where forces fight for power regardless of everything. In the film, Ngoc Trinh plays the role of a brave female assistant to a young businessman. In a meeting of major shareholders, Khiem (played by Duy Minh) won the approval of the bosses and angered his opponent, who sent his underlings to kill him.
The first few minutes passed quickly to make way for the female lead’s action scenes. Therefore, the board meeting scene was filled with strong details to impress the audience. However, the director’s way of doing things left the audience with the impression of being too cumbersome and excessive from the beginning.
The character dressed in all black and blabbering about with scissors seems a bit out of place and out of sync. Some of the other characters are also overacting.

The first 2/3 of the film's duration is mainly devoted to racing and fighting scenes of Ngoc Trinh. In about 6 minutes, the beauty unleashes many moves that require flexibility and careful training, but lack the strength and persuasiveness to make the audience feel the intensity of the fighting scenes.
Ngoc Trinh’s pale skin and stylized office suits are not suitable for the image of an action heroine. Not to mention that even though she fights enthusiastically, the clothes Ngoc Trinh wears are still pure white and not dirty at all.
It's not hard to see that the scene where Ngoc Trinh uses her shirt to hit her opponent is very similar to the scene in the action blockbuster 'Transporter 3'.
After the action scene and introduction, the film moves to the emotional scene in the form of a music video with the voice of Ngoc Trinh herself.

Although there are many unsightly points, Decoding NT56 has a few plus points such as beautiful scenes, elaborate settings... Ngoc Trinh's acting continues to cause controversy because of her weak acting, and the fighting scenes are not convincing enough.
Decoding NT56 is the second time Ngoc Trinh has invested in making a film. In 2015, the supermodel invested nearly 18 billion VND in the film Waist 56, a film said to be an autobiography about Trinh's own life, starring her.
