Ngoc Trinh stars in horror film 'Ghost Beauty Salon'
The female model tried her hand at the horror genre for the first time in director Nguyen Huu Hoang's new project, attracting attention with her tired appearance at the opening ceremony.
Ngoc Trinh will play the female lead in the horror film project titled "The Underworld Beauty Salon", directed by Nguyen Huu Hoang. At the opening ceremony, she attracted the attention of the media when she appeared with a somewhat haggard appearance, despite wearing makeup.
This project marks the return of director Nguyen Huu Hoang after the success of the film "Ma da" with a revenue of 127 billion VND. "The Underworld Beauty Salon" is also the first time Ngoc Trinh participates in a film of the horror genre.

Journey into the haunted beauty salon
In the film, Ngoc Trinh plays Thanh, a young and talented girl. Due to circumstances, she is taken to a remote beauty salon and gradually gets caught up in ghostly rituals and inexplicable spiritual events.
Sharing about her decision to accept the role, Ngoc Trinh said she carefully considered many invitations after the movie "Sister-in-law". The script of "The Underworld Beauty Salon" convinced her because of the novelty of the topic, combining horror elements and profound messages.
Wholeheartedly devoted to his first role in the horror genre
To fully focus on the role, Ngoc Trinh decided to temporarily put aside all her business activities, livestreams and photo shoots. She said she wanted to devote all her time and mind to researching the character and working with the director and co-stars.
Although in real life she is not easily scared by spiritual elements or horror movies, Ngoc Trinh affirms that she is not subjective. The actress is preparing herself mentally to be able to play the role in the most natural and realistic way.
Perspective from a hundred billion director
Director Nguyen Huu Hoang revealed that he had been thinking about this project for a long time. He devoted a lot of effort to creating a mysterious setting and terrifying characters, with the goal of bringing a new color to Vietnamese horror films.
Explaining the choice of Ngoc Trinh, director Nguyen Huu Hoang highly appreciated the emotion and sincerity in her acting, even though she is considered an "amateur" actress.

Previously, the movie "Sister-in-law" starring Ngoc Trinh and Viet Huong also achieved commercial success, joining the club of movies with revenue of hundreds of billions after three weeks of showing.
