Beyonce believes that using the "fake" name Feyonce as well as printing the name of a famous song on the product is an ambiguous act that can easily confuse consumers.

American music star Beyonce (34 years old, photo) has just filed a lawsuit against the online sales company Feyonce (headquartered in Texas) in the Manhattan Federal Court, New York (USA), because she believes that the company has taken a name that is a parody of her stage name.

Some Feyonce merchandise features the phrase “Put a ring on it,” taken from Beyoncé’s 2008 hit song, Single Ladies (Put a ring on it).

Beyonce also accused Feyonce Company of ignoring her request to stop selling products printed with the Feyonce brand as well as the name of her song.

Beyonce believes that using the "copycat" name Feyonce as well as printing the name of a famous song on the product is an ambiguous act that makes consumers easily mistake it for a Beyonce-branded product.
