On clear mornings or late afternoons, standing on the top of Chung Mountain, looking out into the distance, we seem to be admiring a beautiful natural picture, majestic mountains, relics and famous landscapes marking the heroic figures of Hong Lam land from the past to the present. The famous scholar Nguyen Thiep (1723 - 1804) once sang about this mountain:
"Chung Son at the top of the image of the King Temple
"The heroic successor brings prosperity to his descendants."
Mean:
“Chung Mountain has a Vuong shape on the top.
This land will forever produce heroes for generations to come..
To the southeast, beyond the majestic mountain ranges, is the Lam River with its clear, winding water and poetic scenery. Further away, to Ha Tinh, in Duc Thai village, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, is the hometown of Phan Dinh Phung - the soul of the Huong Khe uprising.

To the south and southwest are Thien Nhan mountains, overlapping like a herd of horses following each other. On this mountain, there is Luc Nien Thanh, the headquarters of Le Loi in 1424.
To the west is Dun (Hung Son) - "Famous mountain with sacred air and clouds", at the foot of the mountain is Van An guard, a rampart against the Tang invaders in 722 by Mai Thuc Loan; Dan Nhiem village, the hometown of Phan Boi Chau - a patriotic scholar...
Chung Mountain has long been a historical site, home to many famous relics such as Thanh Ca Temple worshiping General Xuan Lam, one of the 10 best generals of the Tran Dynasty, Bao Quang Tu Pagoda (commonly known as Dat Pagoda)... This is also the place where many important historical events took place: The uprising against the invaders by Bachelor Vuong Thuc Mau (1885 - 1886). In the early 20th century, patriots such as Phan Boi Chau, Nguyen Sinh Sac, Vuong Thuc Quy, Tran Van Luong... often came here to write poems and discuss current events.
Since the Party was founded, Chung Mountain was the secret meeting place of the Lam Thinh General Party Cell. The hammer and sickle flag once flew on the mountaintop, despite the enemy's suppression that aimed to drown the loyal Soviet soldiers in a pool of blood.
So many traces are recorded on a small mountain, truly sacred and majestic. Is it true that the sacred fire from this mountain has ignited the hearts and forged the will of the loyal children of Kim Lien, Nam Dan; especially the boy Nguyen Sinh Cung - Nguyen Tat Thanh who later became the great President Ho Chi Minh?
According to the documents of the Kim Lien relic site, some old people in the village who also lived during their childhood with Uncle Ho in Lang Sen - Lang Chua still recount that, when he was young, Nguyen Sinh Cung often went up Chung mountain with his friends to sightsee and create many creative and fun games such as tug of war, hide and seek, and mock battles... At Dam Sim hill, there are still echoes of laughter during the intense tug of war matches of the Lang Sen children, in which Nguyen Sinh Cung's side often won. More mischievously, sometimes he winked at his "subordinates" pretending to lose, causing the other boys to fall flat on the grass, and some even rolled into the hole, ending with a burst of laughter. The bushes halfway up the mountain were where mock battles were staged by Cung, reviving in the children the heroic history of the nation. After the exhausting raids and chases, the children would sit leisurely on the backs of buffaloes and fly kites with the leisurely sound of flutes, breathing the fresh air of the fields and countryside breeze.
The most interesting are the walks climbing the mountain top, with his profound knowledge, Nguyen Sinh Cung introduces you to historical stories, heroes whose names are associated with the country, instilling in you national pride, love for your homeland and country and nurturing the will to defeat the enemy and liberate your homeland.

And proudly, the "little leader" of the children of Lang Sen and Lang Chua, after many years of searching for a way to save the country, has become a great leader of the Vietnamese people; the one who brings glory to the mountains and rivers of Vietnam, is the pride of the people of Nghe An./.
