(Baonghean.vn) - The fishing boat of Mr. Dau Ngoc Minh in Hamlet 8, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District has invested more than half a billion VND to install a horizontal detector using American technology, bringing high economic efficiency.

Meet Mr. Dau Ngoc Minh - captain of ship NA 98968 TS at Lach Quen fishing port, Quynh Luu district when he and his crew members are busy mending nets and preparing necessities to set sail for a new fishing trip on the 20th of the 5th lunar month.

Mr. Minh excitedly said: On the last trip, his boat caught more than 30 tons of seafood, worth more than 500 million VND, mainly needlefish and squid, the output was nearly double that of previous trips; after deducting expenses, each worker earned more than ten million VND.

"This is the biggest catch of fish ever. Hopefully we will continue to have luck so we can quickly recover our capital," Minh shared.

To invest in developing the purse seine profession, Mr. Minh has equipped a purse seine net worth 1.5 billion VND. In addition, he also boldly invested 570 million VND to buy a Wesmar HD860 horizontal detector for use in seafood exploitation.
