Nghe An fishermen earn 3,000 billion VND from seafood exploitation in 9 months
(Baonghean.vn) - More than 154,000 tons of seafood is the output of Nghe An fishermen caught at sea in the first 9 months of 2023, worth an estimated 3,000 billion VND.

Information from the Department of Fisheries said that the total aquatic product output in the first 9 months of 2023 ofNghe AnEstimated output reached 216,570/plan 255,000 tons, reaching 84.93% of the yearly plan.
Of which, the output of aquatic exploitation reached 159,738 tons, reaching 83.2% of the yearly plan, up 3.59% over the same period last year. The output of aquaculture reached 56,832 tons, equal to 90.21% of the yearly plan, up 6% over the same period last year. Of which, the output of freshwater farming was 44,621 tons, and of saltwater and brackish water farming was 12,211 tons.
For miningseafoodAt sea, in the first 9 months of the year, despite many difficulties in fishing grounds and weather... however, many large-capacity fishing vessels in the districts of Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Hoang Mai town... have gone offshore to participate in aquatic exploitation by means of: trawling, seine, scooping, hooking... Main products are squid, mackerel, silver pomfret... Some vessels have caught hairtail and mackerel with high economic value. The estimated catch is 154,196 tons, reaching 82.46% of the yearly plan, up 3.56% over the same period last year.
High yield fish such as anchovies and herrings cost from 12,000 - 15,000 VND/kg; mackerel and silver pomfret cost 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg; mackerel and tuna cost the highest at 100,000 - 120,000 VND/kg. On average, the value of seafood exploitation is estimated at about 3,000 billion VND.

In 9 months, inland exploitation is estimated at 5,542 tons/plan of 5,000 tons, reaching 110.84% of the yearly plan, up 4.33% over the same period last year, with an estimated value of more than 600 billion VND.
Nghe An currently has 3,469 fishing vessels, with a total capacity of 654,224 CV, of which 1,762 are fishing vessels over 15m. Over the years, Nghe An fishermen have invested in modern fishing support technology, such as upgrading lighting with LED lights, fish detectors, hydraulic winches... so the exploitation efficiency is increasingly high./.
