Although not one of the main fishing occupations of the province, shrimp fishing always brings a significant source of income to many fishermen. This year, although the price of shrimp has dropped to only 6,000-8,000 VND/kg, fishermen in coastal areas such as Cua Lo, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu are still happy because their boats always "hit the jackpot" with shrimp... If you go fishing during the day, if you arrive in time for noon when the sun is still crisp, you can dry the shrimp to make it sweet and flavorful. If you go fishing at night, the shrimp is often used to make fish sauce. In coastal areas this season, the yard inside the house or outside the alley is used to dry the shrimp, sift, winnow, and pound the shrimp in salt. The strong, sea-flavored aroma of the sea shrimp becomes the characteristic smell of seafood processing villages this season. Photo: Thanh Phuc |
