(Baonghean.vn) -These days, at Lach Quen fishing port in Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu), hundreds of large-capacity aquatic and seafood exploitation vehicles of fishermen from Tien Thuy and Quynh Nghia communes have docked in the joy of a good fish season.

After months of struggling with the Southern fish harvest due to prolonged hot weather, entering the Winter fish harvest, although it is not the main fishing season, most local fishermen have had a big hit. Many boats caught many large catches of a variety of fish such as: snakehead fish, silver pomfret, mackerel, squid, anchovy and most of all, mackerel. On average, each boat goes out to sea for 3-4 days, catching 15-30 tons of various types of fish, earning hundreds of millions of VND. After deducting expenses, each crew member also receives 7-10 million VND/person.

Arriving at Lach Quen fishing port when the vehicles here have just returned from the sea, many fishermen are busy transporting fish to shore to sell to traders. It is known that currently, spotted fish costs from 13-14 thousand VND/kg, anchovy 15-16 thousand VND/kg, snakehead fish and silver pomfret 25-30 thousand VND/kg.

A good fishing season combined with high purchase prices has made fishermen very happy. With a dark face after returning from a fishing trip, fisherman Tran Quoc Hoan in Tien Thuy commune shared: "Most of the boats on this trip were full, but our boat caught about 25 tons, earning several hundred million."

Taking advantage of favorable weather, many vehicles, after selling all their products, prepared gasoline, fresh water and necessities to continue fishing at sea with the hope that the next trip will be full of squid./.
