On the morning of March 12, while fishing near Con Co Island (Quang Tri), Mr. Tuan's boat unexpectedly caught 100 tons of fish that were not caught, and he had to ask a fellow boat to help him transport the fish to the port to sell.

At around 8am on March 12, fishing boats of many Quang Tri fishermen docked at Cua Viet port, bringing a small portion of the 100 tons of rare scum fish to shore.

Two days ago, Mr. Le Van Tuan's boat (residing in Gio Viet commune, Gio Linh) went to the fishing ground of Con Co island to do purse seine fishing.By dawn on March 12, the ship had caught about 100 tons of fish, each weighing 10-30 kg. The location of the fish capture was about 6 nautical miles north of Con Co Island.

Due to the large quantity of fish, Mr. Tuan called more boats from the shore to bring the fish to the port to help sell. Currently, a fishing boat of fisherman Luong Van Duyet has brought the first 20 tons to Cua Viet port. Many traders heard the news and gathered in large numbers to buy fish.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of Gio Viet Commune, said the ship owner reported about a haul of fish that was not delivered, estimated at 100 tons. “With a selling price of 40,000-60,000 VND per kilogram, fisherman Tuan earned about 4-6 billion VND from this fishing trip,” Mr. Hai said.
