Fishermen in Hoang Mai town have had a bumper crop of scad fish.
(Baonghean.vn) -In the early days of the year, thanks to favorable weather conditions, fishermen in Quynh Di and Quynh Phuong wards of Hoang Mai town had a very successful fishing trip, especially with a bountiful catch of scad fish.
After the boats dock, a small quantity of this fish is purchased by traders and distributed to markets in Hoang Mai town and Quynh Luu district; the majority is supplied to seafood processing and export companies located in Quynh Di ward. Due to the chilly weather and lack of sunshine, after the fish are steamed, the companies have to hire workers to dry them thoroughly before packaging them for export.
