Asked about the strength of the England team, the 69-year-old Portuguese coach said: "With the new generation of players that Coach Gareth Southgate brought to the England team, I think the Three Lions are now a very strong team. Since winning the World Cup in 1966, the England team has never been as scary as it is now. Basically, the England team is highly specialized in each position. All are professional, skilled and realistic instead of focusing too much on unrealistic things. We know the upcoming match with the England team is especially difficult. Therefore, Iran's goal is to focus at every moment of the match. The important thing is that the whole team needs to try their best and go out with a winning spirit," concluded the Iran team captain.
At the 2022 World Cup, Iran and England are in Group B with the United States and Wales. After the opening round, England and Iran will compete with the United States and Wales on the 25th and 26th, respectively./.
