On December 27, District 9 Police completed the case file and handed over Ms. Ho Thi Ngoc Diep (52 years old) to Ho Chi Minh City Police to investigate the act of Murder. The suspect was the person who put rat poison in the noodle soup pot of her neighbor (also a relative) 2 days ago to take revenge for a land dispute.

According to the initial investigation, Ms. Tran Thi Bach Tuyet (37 years old) used to work for her cousin (Mrs. Diep) at a vermicelli soup restaurant. She then opened her own restaurant a few hundred meters away. Angry because her nephew "took her rice bowl", and the two sides also fought over land, Ms. Diep often cursed Ms. Tuyet.

Early in the morning of December 25, while Ms. Tuyet was buying spices to season the crab noodle soup, Ms. Diep secretly poured rat poison into the boiling broth. When the owner returned, she discovered the pot of noodles was bubbling white and had an unusually strong smell. When she went home to check the security camera, Ms. Tuyet saw Ms. Diep approach the pot of noodles and put something in it.

Working with the police, Ms. Diep admitted that she was angry with her niece and put rat poison in the pot of noodles, so that Ms. Tuyet would have a bad reputation and no customers would come to eat.

"The test results show that the concentration of toxins in the pot of water is capable of causing death - this is the basis for Ms. Diep's case. Ms. Tuyet has filed a complaint against her, but the incident is serious and needs to be investigated and strictly handled," said an investigator.
