Mr. Hoang’s family is poor and short of staff. Mr. Hoang (35 years old) is the main breadwinner and is seriously ill and is being treated at Bach Mai Hospital. Ms. Nguyen Thi Khai (30 years old) – Mr. Hoang’s wife also had to leave her young child and fields behind to go to Hanoi to take care of her husband.
Currently, Thanh Hoa commune is in the mass cassava harvest season, but the cassava area of Mr. Hoang's family is still intact in the field. Realizing the difficult situation of Mr. Hoang's family, the Women's Union of Hoa Nam hamlet mobilized women and neighbors in the hamlet to join hands to harvest cassava, helping Mr. Hoang's family in this difficult time.
Despite the rainy and cold weather, with the spirit of "loving others as you love yourself", the villagers harvested 15 sao of cassava, sold it right in the field and gave the money to Mr. Hoang's relatives, contributing more money for his medical treatment.
