People flock to see giant turtle with yellow stripes on its shell

(Baonghean.vn) - After discovering a turtle weighing about 16kg crawling into the village, people took it home to take care of it, then held a ceremony to release the turtle back into the wild.

Previously, on the evening of September 20, when going out to the alley, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xoan (residing in Minh Duong hamlet, Thanh Tung commune, Thanh Chuong district) discovered a large turtle crawling across the road, with strange yellow stripes on its shell.

Mrs. Xoan called everyone to come out and see, so the turtle got scared and crawled into the field and disappeared. Many people went down to the field to look for it but couldn't find it.

On September 22, people continued to discover this turtle crawling onto the road about 1km away from the previous location. People brought the turtle to the cultural house. After checking, the turtle weighed nearly 16kg.

Hearing the news of the discovery of the "giant" turtle, many curious people came to see it. The village elders estimated that this turtle was hundreds of years old.
