(Baonghean.vn) - Over the past week, hundreds of people have searched the forest bordering Thanh Hoa and Nghe An to find a young man who went missing while hunting wild bees but have found no trace.

On the morning of September 21, Mr. Nguyen Huy Anh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loi Commune (Nghia Dan District), said that the functional forces of Nghia Loi and Thanh Tan Communes (Nhu Thanh District, Thanh Hoa), along with local people, are still searching for Vi Van Nghia (24 years old). This is the 7th day that this young man has lost contact after telling his family that he went into the forest to hunt bees as usual.

"Today, the search force is estimated to be more than 100 people. Before entering the forest, the search team had just met to narrow down the areas that had not been searched. Currently, the search force is still using the old method, which is to divide up and search each remaining area. After a week of searching in the forest, there has been no trace found, including motorbikes, people and the items that Nghia brought with him," said Mr. Nguyen Huy Anh.

In recent days, some people have also used flycams to search, however, because there is no signal in the forest and the foliage is thick and dense, this method is not effective.According to the leader of Nghia Loi commune, Mr. Vi Van Nghia is a professional forester. His main job is to go into the forest to hunt bees, especially the hornet. To hunt bees, Nghia buys many professional items such as binoculars..., and when going into the forest, he brings an expensive phone.

Meanwhile, the Khoai bee is considered the "king" of honey bees, because not only does it have a large nest with a lot of honey, but its honey is also considered the most delicious and nutritious. Khoai bees often build nests high up in the sky, some up to 70 meters high. This species of bee often lives deep in the forest and collects pollen from very far away. In some nests, worker bees travel dozens of kilometers to find pollen from precious flowers.

"When hunters use binoculars to detect worker bees searching for pollen, they will chase them back to their nests to collect honey. Because this species of bee often searches for pollen dozens of kilometers away from their nests, many times bee hunters get lost in the forest because they are chasing bees. However, it is difficult to understand why a professional forester like Nghia would get lost for so many days," said the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loi Commune.

As for Nghia's mother, Ms. Lo Thi Them, said that on the morning of September 14, as usual, Nghia brought his tools and rode his motorbike into the forest to hunt for bees. When he did not return home that evening, the family called his phone many times but it only rang and no one answered. "The phone kept ringing for the next 2 days, and by the evening of September 16, we could no longer contact him. Nghia had never been lost in the forest before," Ms. Them said, sobbing.

In recent days, on Facebook, many people have also put forward hypotheses. Some people suspect that someone is holding Nghia’s phone, because a few days after losing contact, his Zalo account was locked. However, Ms. Lo Thi Them said that the locking of the Zalo account was done by the police.

Previously, on September 15, Nghia Loi Commune Police received a report from the family that Vi Van Nghia went to catch bees in the forest in Nhu Thanh District (Thanh Hoa), but then lost contact. According to the family, this young man is about 1m70 tall, when he went, he was wearing a dark blue camouflage long-sleeved shirt, riding a blue Wave motorbike, license plate: 37X4 -6480.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities and local people have searched the area for the past week but have not found any trace. Nghia Loi is a commune bordering Thanh Tan commune of Nhu Thanh district (Thanh Hoa). In this border area is a forest of nearly 1,000 hectares, mainly acacia forests planted by local people. Locally, Mr. Nghia is considered to be a hard-working man with no debts. Therefore, the authorities believe that the young man may have gotten lost and not left home./.
