People are not enthusiastic about changing their helmets.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 29th, Hanoi Metro Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An province, organized a subsidized helmet exchange program for residents in Que Phong district. The subsidy amount ranged from 30,000 to 70,000 VND per helmet.
In response to the campaign to exchange old and substandard helmets, people brought their helmets to exchange points and received a subsidized price.

People check the quality and participate in exchanging their old helmets for new ones that meet the standards.
However, according to feedback, because subsidized helmets are still more expensive than standard quality helmets sold on the market, many people do not bring their helmets to the exchange points but instead buy them elsewhere. If the prices at the points selling and exchanging subsidized quality helmets remain higher than market prices, the problem of people using substandard helmets while participating in traffic will not be resolved. People hope that in the future, the price of subsidized helmets will be lower than market prices so that they can buy, exchange, and use helmets that meet quality standards.
