Ms. Tran Thi Thu, a resident who just bought 1 tael of gold, said: "Although people say buying gold on God of Wealth's day brings luck, I think it's okay to buy it a day in advance. Moreover, tomorrow there will be a lot of buyers so I'm afraid I'll have to wait in line for a long time."

Chicken-shaped gold bars are a popular choice this year.

Similarly, Ms. Mai Thi Phong, another customer, said: "Before buying gold, I also have to find out information about gold rings, gold coins, gold bars, 12 zodiac gold... to make the right choice."

According to Mr. Dau Truong Thanh, owner of a gold and silver business, last year the number of customers buying gold increased dramatically, and there was a shortage of gold, so this year the number of gold products prepared for sale on God of Wealth Day has doubled or tripled the supply to serve customers.

It is expected that tomorrow the number of customers coming to buy gold will increase dozens of times compared to today.
