(Baonghean.vn) - After the announcement of continuing to implement Directive 16, small traders and people of all walks of life in Nghe An agreed to extend the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the area.

On the night of April 15, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued urgent Document No. 2278/UBND-VX on continuing to seriously implement Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, while waiting for the announcement of the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Standing Committee meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control on the afternoon of April 15, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Heads of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations, and Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to focus on directing:

Continue to extend the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the province according to Directive 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister and documents issued by the Provincial People's Committee on measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic until a new announcement from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Nghe An Newspaper recorded the opinions of small traders and people from all walks of life on continuing to implement social distancing and prevent Covid-19.

Although the business has been temporarily suspended for 15 days now, which has significantly affected the family's economy, when the province has a policy of continuing to extend the social isolation period according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, I personally strongly support and absolutely comply. However, I suggest that the temporary suspension of business of non-essential goods must be strictly controlled and thoroughly implemented to avoid the situation where some households strictly comply, others open their doors, and some secretly trade. In addition, the authorities need to strengthen inspection, handling and regularly propagate on the mass media about the fines and the results of the fines so that people can learn from experience and set an example for other traders.

Continuing social distancing for a while longer is necessary during the current complicated epidemic situation. We only hope that people will raise public awareness and strictly follow epidemic prevention recommendations so that the epidemic can be controlled, the situation can be stabilized soon, and everything can be brought back to normal. At that time, businesses will also stabilize soon, and people can trade with peace of mind.

Immediately after the Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent dispatch on continuing to extend the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the area until further notice, the Management Board of Quan Lau Market has propagated and announced the above policy to business households through loudspeakers, issued documents and signed commitments to continue closing kiosks in the non-essential goods group. At the same time, continue to strengthen epidemic prevention measures at the market such as: arranging hand sanitizer; controlling people entering and exiting the market; strictly implementing the wearing of masks and increasing hygiene and disinfection of the market area.

I am a clothing business in Nam Thanh commune (Yen Thanh). Recently, I have been regularly following information about the Covid 19 epidemic on the media. It is known that Nghe An province has directed localities to continue to strictly implement Directive 16 of the Government, including continuing to close non-essential stores until further notice. In my opinion, this is an appropriate decision and we fully support this policy. Continuing to close non-essential stores will contribute to protecting the health of people as well as businesses.

After learning of the urgent document of the Provincial People's Committee on continuing to strictly implement Directive 16 of the Prime Minister and the documents of the province on epidemic prevention and control until further notice, the consistent view of the locality is to always comply with the direction, the commune will increase propaganda on the media to disseminate new regulations to the people, and at the same time assign forces to regularly inspect and strictly handle cases of violation of Directive 16 of the Prime Minister.
