(Baonghean.vn) - Heat waves above 40 degrees Celsius have disrupted people's lives, many people in the mountainous district of Nghe An flock to streams to cool off.

On the afternoon of April 21, the temperature measured in Hoa Binh town (Tuong Duong district, Nghe An) reached 40 degrees Celsius, at times even higher, especially in Cua Rao area, which is considered the "fire pan of Indochina" because of the scorching heat these days. Photo: Google Maps
In recent days, people in Tuong Duong have flocked to streams to cool off. At Co stream (Tam Dinh commune, Tuong Duong district), even from 9am, hundreds of people were present to find a place to hide from the sun.
Clear and cool water, shallow stream is the place chosen by many people on this day.
Not only that, the bushes along the stream that can avoid the sun are also where people seek to go. According to the meteorological agency, the reason why the temperature in the three regions of the North - Central - South is 0.5-2 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years is the impact of El Nino. Appearing since the beginning of the year, El Nino makes the winter-spring in the North and North Central regions warmer, the cold spells are shorter and the temperature is not too low.
The young men even climbed up the spillway to wallow in the water.
Children are taken by adults into the stream to both experience and avoid the sun.
A little girl risked jumping into the water as soon as she reached the stream. According to the meteorological agency, compared to the annual average, the heat wave in the Northwest and Central regions this year did not appear early, but the temperature in some places has exceeded the record. Song Ma Station (Son La) recorded a record temperature in 1980 of approximately 40, but yesterday it reached 41 degrees. This is the temperature in the meteorological tent, the outdoor temperature is 2-4 degrees Celsius higher depending on the area. The widespread heat wave in the North and Central regions is forecast to last from now until the end of April 22. From Tuesday, the heat wave will narrow down to only the Northwest and Central regions and the intensity will gradually decrease.
