"I have been discharged from the hospital and returned home. Because the bullet is deep in the wound, surgery would be very complicated and life-threatening, so the doctors said I should not have surgery yet. The area where the bullet was lodged is currently aching," said Mr. Dong.
Previously, on January 5, while working in Cua Trang field (Nam Xuan commune), Mr. Dong was suddenly shot. The bullet pierced his pants and lodged in his body.
Mr. Dong was taken to Nam Dan District General Hospital for emergency treatment. On January 8, Mr. Dong was transferred to Nghe An Provincial General Hospital.
According to the discharge papers issued to Mr. Dong by Nghe An General Hospital on January 12, the diagnosis was: "Foreign body in the right hip (right) due to firearms"; treatment method: "internal medicine". Doctor's instructions: Take medication as prescribed, come back for a check-up after one month or if there are any abnormalities".
