Nghe An man walks for 6 days without food to escape from gold farm

On April 2, the Hoa Nhon Gate Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police) said that the unit had just assisted an ethnic person from Nghe An province to escape from a gold mine.

Accordingly, at around 10:00 a.m. on March 30, while on patrol duty on National Highway 1 in Hoa Vang district, the Hoa Nhon gate traffic police discovered a man wearing shorts and a blue worker's shirt wandering around looking tired. The soldiers questioned the man and took him to the Hoa Nhon gate traffic police station.

Mr. Son was helped and given food and drink.

This man said his name was Lo Van Son (43 years old, Kho Mu ethnic group, from Nghe An). In his hometown, Mr. Son has a wife and 6 children.

A few months ago, Mr. Son was sent to Quang Nam to work for a gold farm owner in Phuoc Son district (Quang Nam province). After that, Mr. Son felt sick and exhausted because he could not work anymore, so he asked his boss to pay him to go home. However, the gold farm owner did not agree to let him leave and did not pay him his salary.

Mr. Son found his own way to escape from the gold mine and walked for 6 days from Phuoc Son district to Da Nang city. Because he had no money, on the way, Mr. Son went hungry and only asked for water.

Traffic police took Mr. Son home.

When the traffic police discovered Mr. Son, he was starving and exhausted. At this time, the traffic police used their own money to buy food and drinks for Mr. Son; and raised 400,000 VND in cash to support Mr. Son to return home.

In addition, the traffic police also picked up the car, and the bus company also supported Mr. Son to return to Nghe An, free of charge for transportation and food along the way.
