(Baonghean.vn) - Due to a conflict over debt, an argument broke out between the victim and the creditor. The creditor used a shovel handle to repeatedly hit the victim, causing his death.

On the morning of April 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District announced that they were temporarily detaining Vu Van Minh (born in 1986, residing in Trung Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District). Minh surrendered to the Investigation Police Agency that morning and was accused of murdering Nguyen Tho Tuyen (born in 1970, residing in Nam Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District).

Outraged by Tuyen's death, since last night (April 27), his family has brought the coffin containing the victim's body to Minh's unfinished house. The victim's family has requested the investigation agency to clarify the cause of Tuyen's death before bringing the body back.

Previously, on the evening of April 27, when Mr. Tuyen passed by Minh's house, he was stopped. An argument broke out between the two, the reason being that Mr. Tuyen owed Minh some money.

“Mr. Minh used a shovel handle to repeatedly hit my brother. After receiving a call from the locals, we took Mr. Tuyen to the Trung Thanh Commune Health Station for emergency treatment, then transferred him to the Provincial General Hospital. At around 10 p.m. that same day, Mr. Tuyen died,” said Mr. Nguyen Tho Dung, a relative of the victim.

According to the victim’s family, about a month ago, Mr. Tuyen borrowed 70 million VND from Minh. Mr. Tuyen paid 35 million VND and asked to pay the remaining amount in a few days. But before he could pay, the above incident happened.

After receiving the report, Yen Thanh District Police coordinated with the Criminal Technique Department, Criminal Police Department, and Nghe An Provincial Police to conduct an autopsy and investigate the cause of the murder.

However, because they have not yet received an official conclusion from the authorities, until the afternoon of April 28, the family still left the coffin at the suspect's house.
