Man in Nghe An fined 15 million VND for beating his wife
(Baonghean.vn) - Suspecting his wife of stealing money, a 53-year-old man used a wooden stick to beat his wife, causing her to be hospitalized. He was later ticketed and fined 15 million VND.
On May 31, a leader of Yen Son commune (Do Luong) said that Mr. Hoang Quoc V. (53 years old, Minh Hoa hamlet, Yen Son commune), had paid the full fine of 15 million VND after being punished for beating his wife.
Specifically, Mr. V. was administratively sanctioned by the Provincial People's Committee for using tools, means or other objects to cause injury to family members, as stipulated in Point a, Clause 2, Article 52 of Decree No. 144 of the Government.
According to the leader of Yen Son commune, Mr. V. and his wife often had conflicts because they suspected that this man was having an affair. "Recently, Mr. V. lost a sum of money, suspected that his wife had stolen it, so he beat her. He used a wooden stick to beat his wife, causing her to be hospitalized. Yen Son commune police invited Mr. V. to work many times, reminded him, but he did not cooperate, and even shouted. The police force then drew up a record to propose an administrative penalty," said the leader of Yen Son commune.
