(Baonghean.vn) - A man went into the forest to collect honey, but unfortunately slipped and fell from a tree and died. The victim was the main breadwinner in his family, who was in difficult circumstances.

On the afternoon of June 29, the People's Committee of Tam Hop border commune, Tuong Duong district, said that a local resident had just died while collecting honey in the forest.

On the evening of June 28, Mr. Vieng Van Thin (born in 1988), residing in Xop Nam village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong mountainous district, and a number of brothers and friends went into the forest area of Xieng My commune, Tuong Duong district to collect wild honey.

Unfortunately, while climbing the tree to approach the beehive, Mr. Thin slipped and fell from a tree about 20 meters high to the ground, seriously injured and died shortly thereafter.

Mr. Luong Van Khoa - Secretary of the Party Cell of Xop Nam village, Tam Hop commune said: "Mr. Vieng Van Thin does not have a stable job, his family is poor, and has a particularly difficult situation in Xop Nam village. Although he has been married for a long time, he does not have his own house. Currently, Mr. Thin's family is living in a wooden house lent by a relative who is working far away."

Because the children were young, Mr. Thin's wife stayed home to take care of the children, all the income depended on Mr. Thin. Every year during the wild honey season, Mr. Thin and some young men in the village often went into the forest to harvest honey to sell to earn an income to support their lives. Mr. Thin was one of the famous wild bee hunters in Tam Hop commune, but that day, due to some negligence, he fell from a tall tree to the ground and died" - Mr. Khoa - Secretary of the Party Cell of Xop Nam village shared more.

After receiving the information, local authorities, villagers and family brought the victim's body home for burial according to local customs.
